22M:015

The syllabus for 22M:015 Sections A01 and A04 is here or here in non-butchered .DOC format (use the second one if possible).

If you are having trouble viewing the lecture notes/handouts/etc. you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader from here, which will likely fix the problem.

This
is a link to the page with Prof. Gatica's lecture notes, web problems, etc.

Short solutions for the 11 "set theory" web questions are here.  I highly recommend you look at them if you are unclear about any of these problems.

Grades

Final grades are posted on the link below!

The final did not go as well as I'd hoped -- #16 seemed to be the killer, which we did not go over during review, although similar questions were on Test #1.
Your current homework/quiz scores are here in Excel Format.  The scores do not calculate the effect of dropping quizzes, so if you have missed a quiz, you should calculate your grade by hand.  If you are having trouble viewing the grades and you are on a Windows based PC, you can download the free Excel viewer here.

Tests
Practice Test #1 has been posted.  I have made an answer sheet (without explanations -- see me for those) available here.

Practice Test #2
has been posted.

This is the answer sheet for getting bonus points for Test #1.

Here are the first test grades.  Unfortunately I cannot post the answer key as Prof. Gatica is reusing the test for make-ups.  The grades will be on the cumulative grade sheet as soon as I know about any changes to scoring, which should be by the end of the day Monday, so hopefully you will know exactly where you are in the class by Tues evening.

Test #2 Grades are posted on the general grade sheet.  It seems we did much better than the class average!  Out of the 40 or so perfect scores for the 400 some students in the class, we had 15 of them.  That's three times the average of the other sections!  We also did better than average in terms of mean scores.  Way to go guys -- I'm very proud of both sections.

The FINAL is Wed. Dec. 17th at 12:00 pm in the McBride auditorium.
